Not exactly scientific. Just a photo and a soak test.
Both are calcined diatomaceous earth.

What a TERRIBLE spring!!
Clouds followed by rain with a 100% chance of cold and MORE RAIN.
I haven't been here in a while...Here's whats happened the past several months in my little self watering container greenhouse.
I found aphids on the peppers a little while back and had got them under control before they got out of hand using ladybugs and an organic insecticidal soap. Things looked good for the last week.
It's almost been a full month since my last update. There have been some changes in the greenhouse since last month. The snow peas are gone, but they'll be back for late fall. I'll plant more.
The package lies. Six to eight feet tall HA. These suckers are climbing to the top to the greenhouse which is over 13 feet.
This plant grew fast and healthy looking and has produced well. I really like the flavor of the Gold Rush summer squash. I'll definitely plant more next year.
I have a greenhouse, and up until now have been growing tomato free just fine.
The peppers got all mixed up during potting-up. I don't know which is which. You may be looking at an Anaheim Chili or a Gourmet Bell Pepper. I dunno. But, we'll find out soon enough.
Quick update. Pics from May 20th. Today (May 25) I counted nearly 200 blossoms and strawberries on 24 plants.
