A quick radish update. Growing good. Planted second crop (small, yes) under the covered portion of this container.
Cabbage in Self Watering Containers
Quick update of cabbage in self watering containers.
Planted Kentucky Blue Pole Beans
Today I planted about 25 'Kentucky Blue' Pole Beans in a 30 gallon Rubbermaid self watering container. Again I used a mix of bark fines, sphagnum peat, and perlite in a ratio of about 5:2.5:1.
Broccoli Update
The broccoli in the self watering containers continues to grow well. Here are some updated photos. I think It might rotate the container so they don't grow to sideways.
Basil
I was going to start a lot of herbs for cooking, but I only ever got around to the basil. It started from seed indoors late January. Here it is now. This on in the photo is still in a seed pot.
Wild Strawberries
I 'stole' four wild strawberry plants from my Mom's property last time I visited. They had just started their new growth.
Strawberry Update
The strawberries are growing decently, but not as well as I hoped. The problem, I believe, is the soil. It was wrong and I knew it, but I thought it would be alright.
Planted Radishes Today
I planted radishes today. They grow so fast that I just planted 1/2 of the container (about 35 seeds) and will plant the other half in about 2 weeks and keep them staggered.
Peas in Containers Growing Strong
The peas are growing strong, showing no sign of slowing down. If anything they keep growing faster. The best thing is I have not watered since I planted the seed! Here are some updated photos.
