Greenhouse Project Part 2 - Frame

The first step was to find a suitable location. It needed to be flat ground with plenty of sun. Check. So fine, build a greenhouse there. Dig holes, set posts, throw up some rafters and call it a frame. The main posts are 10' 4x4 set in concrete. Three glass panels will fit between each set of posts, except for the far end that has only two to leave room for the door. The top plate is 2x4, with a 2x6 header all the way around. The glass panels will rest against the 2x6 header and be secured with something like mirror clips, but much stronger. Anyways, not much to say about the framing at this stage - pretty basic stuff that could have been done a thousand different ways and still worked well. The bottom plate has a groove in it that will hold the glass panels. The top plate is aligned so that the top edge of the glass can be clipped in place. This setup allows the glass to have full support on the bottom and be easily removable - replaceable if needed. All measurements of the framing were based around the size of the glass panels.
