Greenhouse Project Part 3 - Roof Trusses

This stage was exciting, it finally started to look like a structure of some sort. The roof angle is nearly 45° making ample air space, and height for tall crops like pole beans and corn. Again the construction makes use of the full dimensions of the glass.

Once the trusses were in place it was time to stain the entire thing. Even thought it is already pressure treated lumber, the stain will help it last longer and look much better. The stain used is a product that is very stain-like in the way that it is absorbed into the wood, but pigmented like a paint. It worked well, and seems very durable so far. The chosen color is a natural looking green that looks great against the trees.
