Greenhouse Project Part 4 - Floor Cover

For the floor / ground cover I wanted something durable, easy to keep clean, and very well draining. Oh yeah, cheap also. I picked up about 4 yards of 3/4"-1/2" crushed rock with no fines. This size is large enough that you can rinse spilled soil down, small enough that is sits smooth and level and is easy to walk in, set pots on etc. I borrowed a dump truck from a friend, borrowed another friend to drive (air brakes...) and brought home a few tons of gravel. It tooks several hours (7? 9?) of me, a shovel, and a wheel barrow to get it all moved. I spread it about 4 inches deep inside the greenhouse and enough around the border to bring it to level all around.

Note: Having used the greenhouse severl months since building it, I am very happy with the choice of gravel for the floor.
