The first glass panels are installed on the walls and front side of the roof. In between each panel is a vinyl H channel that securely holds the panels. The channels are about 1/2" deep and securely hold the glass together. Where the glass meets the 4x4 posts there are braces screwed in from both sides that sandwich the glass in place. Later we may add more 2x2 or 2x4 bracing as needed. This glass is VERY strong and has little movement as is. Before the glass went on the roof, a flashing was installed along the roof edge. The glass overlaps the flashing, so water will run off and not down the inside of the wall. Another flashing was installed on top of the glass on the gable ends to prevent wind from lifting the roof panels. Not pictured is the ridge cap that finalizes the securing of the roof panels at the ridge and prevents water from entering.
