Some remaining items to finish on the greenhouse at this point are hanging the door, framing in a small border around the base, and covering the gable ends.
The door is a standard storm door with a sliding screened opening on the lower half. This should be good for ventilation. I might even mount a motorized louver to the door later. Using the door for low side ventilation is optimal since I can not cut any glass.
A late addition to the greenhouse was a gravel border of 12" wide all the way around the structure. I wanted to do this so that run off water from the roof and rain drops would not splash dirt and mud onto the glass. It also will keep the grass and weeds from getting to close and make it easier to mow and trim around the greenhouse.
The gable ends are triangle - duh - so my glass panels won't work here. I cheaped out here and used single layer poly sheets from home depot rather than a multi-layer poly that would normally be used in a ridged panel greenhouse. The end opposite the door will house one or two exhaust fans. I'll start with one 16" 20" fan I think. If I need more movement to keep close to ambient temps on hot days I will add another. The poly paneling and the wood framed trusses will make it very easy to re-configure ventilation as needed if I need to go bigger.
