A few days ago I moved about 20 lettuce plants that were inside under the lights. They are doing great so far. I am only growing two varieties right now - Valmaine, a romaine variety, and buttercunch. Starting them indoors made the valmaine a bit on the leggy side. I had to plant them a bit deeper to keep them from falling over. The new growth was good though, so I think they will do fine. I have fertilized them since the second pair of leaves showed with Dyna-Grow.
The lettuce I am planting in traditional containers - not self waterers. They are about 14" x 20" x 10" with plenty of drain holes. I left about 4 of each variety in soda bottle bottoms so that my brother can take them when his beds are ready.
Pics when I get home!
