Quick update. Pics from May 20th. Today (May 25) I counted nearly 200 blossoms and strawberries on 24 plants.
The PVC pipe strawberry idea is definitely a space saver. I will build another for next year!

Hi Kevin.
Looks like you've ended up with a great strawberry "patch". How did you manage to solve the "mucky" water in the bottom problem? Did you replace the soil mix, or did allowing everything to dry out and watering lightly work?
Watering lightly worked, but of course that has it's drawbacks. I replaced the mucky mix with a bark:peat:perlite mix that is working great so far. I'm getting new growth in January!
