Strawberry Tree - Part 1

I love strawberries, but growing them takes up a lot of room. I wanted a way to grow more strawberries without giving up more and more greenhouse space. After some research I found a few companies that sell various containers to grow vertically. The problem was the usual - I don't like to pay for something I could make cheaper. So I thought I'd give it a shot. After asking a few people I know I was able to get a 36+ inch length of 8" ID, 9" OD (1/2" wall) PVC Pipe.

The process is really simple, but I'll break it into a few posts with photos to make it even easier. Basically we're just going to cut holes in a pipe, cap off the bottom and hang it from a greenhouse rafter. You might need to consider a way to build a base for this to rest on rather than a hanging system.
