I have a greenhouse, and up until now have been growing tomato free just fine. Why is it that everyone that finds out you have a greenhouse is shocked to learn that you do not grow or even like tomatoes? You people that eat tomatoes... YOU'RE the strange ones.
Whatever. I was given a cherry tomato and pear tomato. Can't remember the specifics, don't care either. Maybe, just maybe I'll try making some salsa with whatever I don't give away. (Never said I didn't like salsa.)
It turns out that self watering containers, greenhouses, and tomatoes go very well together.
I have been pruning the plants back to leave mostly just the branches that have blossoms. I was told this way works good to get more fruit. I can't see why it matters if I'm just going to give it all away. :)
